[00:00:00] Speaker A: Saturday will be a day of classic cars and family fun. This will be hosted by Runkin Pratt Companies. And with us right now is Vicky Pratt, the co founder of Runkin Pratt Companies. Vicki, welcome. Thank you for coming in this morning. [00:00:13] Speaker B: Thank you so much. We're very glad to be here to talk about something that's near and dear to our hearts. [00:00:18] Speaker A: So the car show benefits a great organization, the Alzheimer's Association. [00:00:22] Speaker B: It does. It's run through our very own 501 that we started about eight years ago called Pearls of Life, which is an indication that Alzheimer's is a terrible looking disease. But inside that is a pearl that the resident still is just the shell of something beautiful. And so that's a 501 that we run a lot of our fundraising through. So it's not just for Alzheimer's, it's for local age related items that we may need to come through in our time with seniors. And so anybody can donate to and we're happy to be a part of the community. [00:01:04] Speaker A: That's great. [00:01:04] Speaker C: So tell us about the car show, what people can expect, where it's at and when. [00:01:08] Speaker B: Well, it's at 1208 Perivaled Road in Forest and we're going to have bouncy houses, balloon animals, games, music, pumpkin painting, food, local vendors. We have a whole list of sponsors that have come alongside of us to make this happen. Christopher, can you think of anything else we want to add into about the car show? [00:01:29] Speaker D: Well, good morning everyone. It's just an incredible opportunity. This is our second year hosting the car show. You know, we did it last year, had a wonderful response from the community. You know, we had about 60 cars show up last year. [00:01:43] Speaker C: Nice. [00:01:43] Speaker D: And we, we've been learning from the car show folks that we needed more categories. So we are opening up. [00:01:49] Speaker B: We got some trophies to give us Saturday. [00:01:51] Speaker D: We do, we got, we got first place, second place, third place, ribbons. We got trophies. We're going to open it up to a motorcycle category, classic cars, sports cars. So we're excited to see the turnout. [00:02:02] Speaker B: It's a place for the community to really come together. You know, there is hope when it comes to the journey of Alzheimer's. We've helped thousands of people here in the community run. Kin Pratt is celebrating its 34th birthday here in the community this year and alongside so many wonderful families holding their hand through this journey. And we just want to spread the message of hope as long as you're educated and you know the next steps and we're somebody that will come alongside of you and help you do that. [00:02:29] Speaker A: All right, so that is tomorrow, 10 until 2? [00:02:32] Speaker B: That's correct. [00:02:33] Speaker A: At the Runcken Pratt Company. That's on Perryville Road. [00:02:35] Speaker B: That's right. [00:02:36] Speaker A: Okay. Then the following weekend, another big event. And that is your annual golf tournament. [00:02:41] Speaker B: Yes. And we're celebrating 10 years this year, Christopher, if you can believe it. Over the years, we've raised over a million dollars for Alzheimer's Association. The monies stay right here in our local communities, which is something really big to understand. So it goes into support groups, and most of all, it goes into finding a cure. So, you know, just over the 10 years, we've raised over 500,000 of that. So it's our largest fundraiser. We're about $3,000 shy of hitting our goal. So if you want to find out more about it, www.roncanpratt.com, you can put in a team, or if you simply just want to donate, say, I don't have time to golf. But I believe in your mission. I believe with what you're doing with helping seniors in our community, we'd love to have you donate. [00:03:27] Speaker A: Great. [00:03:28] Speaker C: Awesome. Yeah. Lots of ways to get involved. You can come to the car show this weekend or the golf tournament next weekend. Thank you, Vicki, for so much that you guys do community and for Christopher. And thank you both for joining us. This Absolutely, absolutely.
